The Glenn A. Jones M.D. Memorial Library proudly serves Weld County patrons, and its staff invites you to visit the spacious facility at 400 S. Parish Ave. in Johnstown.
The 13,000-square-foot building has something for everyone! The children's section includes a sunken area for story time that includes a round tower, drawbridge, dragons and jesters. The adult section has a cozy reading area with a fireplace and overstuffed chairs. Outdoor seating areas are also available to soak in the Colorado sun while reading.
The library has a nice variety of story times to choose from! Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are "regular" story times for all ages, with stories, music, fingerplays, and a fun craft to make. These three story times start at 9:30 a.m. On Wednesday evenings, Marisa presents a bilingual story time starting at 6:30 p.m. Crafts are included! And finally, on Friday, Delka holds a Little Ducklings lapsit story time for babies from birth to 24 months. There's lots of parent-baby interaction, soft music, fingerplays, and sweet stories.
The library is continually adding new programs and activities to the daily schedule. Check the library website (www.librariesrock.org) every month for information on teen and family movie nights, Techie Tuesday computer classes, and more!
Stop in any time for great ideas on new authors or genres of books to try! If you have questions, please contact the library at 970-587-2459.
