Johnstown Ranks No. 1 Safest City in Colorado by National Council for Home Safety and Security

The National Council for Home Safety and Security announced on February 21 that Johnstown ranks No. 1 on the list of Top 50 Safest Cities in Colorado for 2017. According to the report, Johnstown’s crime rate is impressively low compared to the state average with only three reported violent crimes and 68 property crimes in 2016, six times less than the state average. The report summarizes by saying, “This town is clearly a wonderful place to live.”

The National Council for Home Safety and Security is a national trade association comprised of licensed alarm installers, contractors, and other relevant trade groups across the United States. Founded in 2006, the council aims to further consumer education and information with a focus on home security, home safety, child safety and senior safety at home.
