Work on the Little Thompson River Bridge Replacement project will cease for approximately two weeks beginning mid-August. Seeding, which cannot be done until mid-September, will be the only work remaining on the project. Paving and striping on CO 60 and CO 257 are expected to be completed by August 12.
The project will be completed three months ahead of schedule. Use of the shoofly diversion structure had considerable impact to the schedule and allowed CO 257 to be closed for four weeks as opposed to three months as originally planned.Repairs to damage along the Little Thompson River caused by flooding in 2013 has also been completed. Safety improvements such as guardrail being brought up to current standards will also benefit the community. The entire Little Thompson River Bridge Replacement project is expected to be completed mid-September.
