Town Council

Johnstown Town Council is the governing body of the Town, which consists of the Mayor and six Councilmembers. The Mayor and Councilmembers are nominated and elected from the Town at large, and each serve a four-year term.

The Mayor presides over meetings of the Town Council and is recognized as the head of the Town government for ceremonial and political purposes. The Mayor Pro Tem performs the responsibilities and duties of the Mayor in their absence. 
  

Meetings


The Town Council meets on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. If the Monday meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting is usually held the following Wednesday. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 450 S Parish Ave.
