As a Tree City USA and in celebration of Arbor Day, the Town provides the Tree Give Away Program. The program aims to expand the tree canopy in the Town and encourages residents to plant trees that are native to the area and lend to the overall beautification of the community. Each year, the Town provides tree vouchers to residents who can pick up a tree from the Town on a designated pick-up day. Vouchers are provided to Town residents and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All vouchers for the 2024 Arbor Day Tree Give Away have been claimed. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please contact the Communications Department at communications@johnstownco.gov Individuals on the waitlist will be notified if there are trees available in the order signed up for the waitlist. Once all trees have been claimed, any remaining individuals on the waitlist will receive a communication from the Town indicating all the trees have been picked up.
How Can I Get a Voucher:
- Vouchers are handed out at Town Hall on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 9AM - 10AM
- Remaining vouchers will be available at Town Hall Monday-Friday 8AM - 5PM beginning on April 8, 2024
- Vouchers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis
- One voucher is available per residence
Eligibility:
- Resident of Johnstown
- State ID and Proof of Residency (Utility Bill or other bill showing Johnstown Address)
When and where can I pick up my tree:
- Thursday, April 18th
- 2PM-6PM
- Johnstown YMCA (165 Settler Way)
- Make sure to bring your voucher with you
