Water Meter Replacement Program

The Town of Johnstown Utilities Department announces the Water Meter Replacement Program aimed at replacing residential water meters nearing the end of their useful life.  Over time. meters age and require replacement to ensure accurate measurement and efficiency of services provided to our residents. 

Program Overview:

Our replacement program is entirely free of charge to residents, reflecting our commitment to providing safe and reliable water service for both current and future generations. By participating in this program, you contribute to the sustainability and efficiency of our water infrastructure. 

What You Need to Know:
  • The meter at your home is approaching the end of its' life cycle and needs replacement.
  • The meter is typically located inside your home, often in a basement or crawl space.
  • The program is free.
  • Appointments are typically less than 30 minutes
How Do I Schedule My Replacement Appointment:

Days: Wednesdays and Thursdays

Time: 7:00am - 3:00 pm 

Duration: 30-minutes

When does the program start:

The meter replacement scheduling link will be released mid-April.
